Teaches relaxation techniques by learning to monitor your heart rate and your breathing.
Learn to identify your emotions by creating an awareness of the physical tensions and sensations in your body. Emotional energy tends to rest in certain areas of your body. Learning where specific emotions usually rest gives you information about your true emotional state.
Teaches you to release and master your emotions through breathing and breath control. The breath is the most effective tool you have in releasing emotional energy.
This is commonly known as "inner child work". Connect with the emotional wounds that occurred as a child and release them. Understanding the way your behavior was affected by these wounds can help you better understand your adult behavior patterns.
Our dreams are one way that our sub-conscious communicates with us. By understanding our dreams, we can learn to listen to the un-conscious parts of our selves and learn our deepest desires and thoughts that we keep from active mind.
Emotions are energy and if this energy is suppressed and not fully experienced, it remains stuck in the body. The way our body is designed, our emotions disengage during times of severe trauma. These traumatic memories and emotions get stored in parts of our brain not usually used for memory storage. When this happens, the emotions related the trauma are repressed and get stuck in our body and in our sub-conscious. In this type of therapy, we work to release all stuck emotional energy. This type of therapy is often very effective with PTSD and sexual trauma.
The Enneagram is an extensive body of work describing the nine different personality types, how they react under stress and how they relate when healthy. By understanding our basic personality type, we learn to better manage our patterns of behavior and emotional responses.
The dynamics of a group can be very useful when facing difficult truths about our selves. Having other people's reactions can give us the feedback we need to better understand the ways we self-sabotage.

There are alternative healing practices that are used by SOULutions including yoga, acupressure, hypno-therapy, mediations, and breath work. All therapy used at SOULutions has been studied and proven to be effective.
Hypnosis can be used for a variety of purposes, all of them falling into one of two categories: memory work and behavior modification. In memory work, we go into the sub-conscious and allow whatever needs to surface to come up. In behavior modification we use hypnotic suggestions to alter self-defeating behavior patterns.
This is language-based therapy that also incorporates sensory perception. What we tell our selves in our self-talk affects our behavior significantly. By altering the way we speak to our selves, we have change a lot of behavior. When we add to that sensory experiences, this type of therapy can be a useful tool in treating anxiety and panic attacks. When it was first introduced in the 70's as a cure-all for every mental health condition, the claims of its creators were quickly disproven. Since that time, it has been used with hypnosis and the combination can have significant results for reprogramming obsessive thoughts, traumatic memories and in treating excessive ruminating.
There are a variety of ways to understand individual personalities. SOULutions work begins with understand the ego structure and how it works with the mind, body and spirit. Studying the individual personality, can illuminate self-defeating reactions and teach you self-observation skills. These useful skills give you the power to change how you react by catching yourself before you repeat destructive patterns. In personality analysis we learn how we react, our strengths and weaknesses and of what we are most afraid?
In the SOULutions practice we use transpersonal or spiritual psychology; positive psychology or the study of strengths and virtues that allow an individual to thrive; and integrative psychology or bringing the mind, body and spirit together for a state of wholeness.
SOULutions practices and techniques are more efficient than traditional therapy because we are working at the level of the soul, with the authentic person. Most of our program goals can be accomplished in 6 months or less.
This is the practice of working with and including the spiritual aspects of an individual into the counseling sessions. Every person is neurologically designed to experience spiritual connection. Transpersonal coaching uses this as a strength to accelerate and deepen desired outcomes.
This is a techniques that deconstructs the parts of the ego personality such as The Protector, The Controller, The Friend Maker, and seeks to understand the different ways these parts work to help us become socialized. This is based on the work of Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone.
